You have heard us talk about this before, “one of the most important things about you is what comes into your mind when you think about God.” And, “what you think God thinks about you” may be just as important.

I read an interesting blog this week from the “Congressional Black Caucus Foundation.” I don’t know all their values or beliefs but this statement sure resonates with me, “as civil society in America changed, there was also a loss of civility itself – and the culture of consequence mutated into the culture of no consequences.”

Do you ever use those words? It sounds a little too formal for our day. “Let us go out for dinner.” “Let us go and play baseball.” “Let us go to work.” Those phrases all sound like we’ve been reading Shakespeare or like we’re asking for permission.

I played Little League baseball many years ago. I wasn’t good but I liked playing ball. I pitched, played infield and batted poorly.
