Even if people don’t know the source, many have likely heard of the “The four horsemen of the apocalypse.” That concept comes from Revelation 6 and the opening of the first four seals of the scroll received by the Lamb (Jesus). As I have mentioned previously, some people believe that all these events are historical, some believe they are present and some, like me, believe these events are yet to come. While we have had our share of false peace, war, famine and death, we have never witnessed it to the scale forecast in Revelation 6. It will be unprecedented. That word gets overused by the media but in that day, the word will be appropriate. While the events described are horrible, I hope you can see God’s mercy in all of it. He will be desperately trying to get people’s attention. Sadly, for some people, even suffering will not help them turn the corner. They will “double-down” in their self-will and rebellion. To the very end of the age, the desire of God is that all people be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth.
