Wednesday Recap

This week we helped answer several questions the teens have been writing over the past few months. Although not all the questions that were asked have a chapter and verse location in Scripture, our leaders took the Bible as the authority to answer the questions.

"All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work."  2 Timothy 3:16-17

Here are the questions we answered. Although I am not going to recap how we answered, I would encourage you to have these discussions with your family.

1.       Were there any animals in the stables when Jesus was born? If so, what were they?

2.       Is Heaven up?

3.       Are Adam and Eve going to Hell?

4.       Is there more than one earth?

5.       How long was it till God made earth?

6.       Were all the plants made at the same time?

7.       Are people from another planet in Heaven?

8.       What does God look like when we go to Heaven? Does He look like our dad? Does He have a beard?

9.   Why do we pray if God is all-knowing?

10.   What do you do when someone won’t forgive you, but you have forgiven them?

11.   How do we know when someone is a true Christian?

12.   Are there girl angels?

There was also another question that was more of a personal one, so I will not put that here.

Missions Update

I want to say thank you on behalf of the Calvary Baptist Church Student Ministry team for caring about our mission projects. This year we set out to support Alpha Family Services and Continental Baptist Missions. Both are amazing ministries that Calvary supports and with the help of our students, leaders, and parents/guardians we were able to reach our second-half-of-the-year goal of raising $1,000. We brought in $1,263.01. With that split to share between the two ministries, that means we were able to send over $1,000 to each ministry this school year.

THANK YOU!!!
