As we started back in this new year we looked at 2 John. John was writing a church he loved dearly and was encouraged by some of the things they were doing, but there was an issue. There were people in the church that were believing and following the teachers of a false gospel. He encouraged the readers to walk in love, which is not acceptance, tolerance, or shying away from the Truth because it is uncomfortable. We walk in love by bringing Truth to light and bringing that to those who are claiming Christ. If someone comes to you with a gospel that is not Jesus Christ and His Truth, reject their teaching and stay away from their instruction. 

Challenge your student on how they are walking this life with their peers in grace and Truth. See how they are doing it. See where they do it well and where they could use help and encouragement.
