“What are you looking at?” That question can be asked with a variety of tonal inflection. It can be angry, interested or merely curious. I’m asking you, since you stopped whatever you were doing to read this, “Who are you looking at?”

“It’s the most wonderful time of the year…” People like Christmas for a lot of different reasons. Some like the family get-togethers and all the parties. Some like the gifts; giving and receiving. Some like the reminders of the past, the nostalgia of “simpler times.”

That may not be a distinction we’d like to be known for but there are many people who have been commended by God for their enduring faith. Hebrews 11 is sometimes referred to as the “hall of faith.” We have learned that faith is evidenced when we take God at His word.

“Those two fit together like a hand in a glove.” “Those people complement one another like peanut-butter and jelly.” These common expressions of compatibility remind us that some things fit well with one another.

As most of you may remember, our Missions Weekend in November had to postponed due to sickness. It appeared to be an interruption in our plans. Now, here we are, the second week of Advent and we are having our Missions Weekend.
