With all the growth we are experiencing, we have been praying for the Lord's direction in how best to proceed to minister to those already at Calvary as well as to continue proclaim the gospel to the greater Greenville community and receive them into the church. We ask that you pray about possible expansion and provide input to the board as the Lord leads.
The church voted on February 5, 2017 (95% in favor) to start a fundraising process with a vision to remodel and expand our current building. For the next three months (March, April and May) we'll be praying about what we should do, explaining the process and inviting you to join us.
We will continue this journey in prayer asking God to work in our hearts. It is a journey of faith; He will show us what to do.
In 1 Chronicles 29, we read how David gathered leaders and how they gave generously to the building of the temple. On Sunday, March 26, the leaders of this church will gather to be spiritually challenged to pray about how God would have them participate in "our story." Everyone is welcome to attend this meeting.
Please join us to pray. We will culminate a week of prayer by praying from 9am - 5pm asking God how we can join Him in His work in this community.
We'll discover creative ways to give "Gifts of Income."
We'll look at how to use "Gifts of Assets" such as personal property, land, stocks, or other non-cash gifts in strategic ways.
If you think it's all about money and filling out pledge cards, you will be pleasantly surprised. The "challenge" of Challenge Sunday will be this:
Be still. Listen expectantly. Ask boldly. Obey humbly.
We will not talk about equal giving but rather, equal commitment.
On this day we will turn in our sealed Commitment Cards. This will be a time of commitment to sacrifice and faith. We will have the opporunity to invest in something larger than ourselves - something that will outlast our lives on this earth.
We all have 10,000 reasons to praise the Lord for His goodness. On Celebration Sunday we will announce the total amount committed in faith toward this project. Our goal is $1,500,000. We believe we can reach this amount with God's help. Whatever the result, we want to give God all the praise and glory.
By definition a campaign is "a series of operations intended to achieve a particular objective."
We voted on February 5th (95% in favor) to start a fundraising process with a vision to remodel and expand our current building. For the next three months we'll be praying about what we should do, explaining the process and inviting you to join us.
By the people on these teams:

The Communications builds awareness and informs. This is the "no surprises" team, because they do their best to make sure everyone knows what's going on.
The Hospitality Team is responsible to plan facility use and food for various meetings and events during the campaign.
The Creative Gifts Team provides confidential counsel to those requesting information on various charitable giving options. This team also sponsors Creative Giving Seminars.
The Reminder Team provides gentle encouragement to attend various functions sponsored by the campaign team.
The Presentations Team will meet with the congregation in small group settings. A presenter will share the vision, explore financial details of the campaign, and explain answers to questions that you may have. No one will be asking you to respond with any commitment at these small group meetings.
