We believe that the process of spiritual formation
results in a life of service in and out of the church. Jesus Christ said, “I did
not come to be served but to serve and to give my life as a ransom for many.” If
we are going to follow Him, it will result in serving others. Paul used the
human body as an illustration of what that would look like. Each part is suited
or designed for a specific role. “We can’t all do everything.” Some will serve
in leadership, some will serve in music, some will serve tables and some will
serve more openly in the community. Serving is simply setting aside our own
lives for the lives of others. There are many places to “set aside” our own
agendas…if we will.
