FELLOWSHIP
Partnership with those of common birth
Acts 2:41-47
Building Improvements are needed periodically.
Painting, light carpentry work and minor cosmetic changes are a big help
and when members do these jobs it saves the church costly labor.
Decorations flowers and special changes for the
seasons are subtle but important aspects of the preparation of the
building.
Greeters make the “first impression” for
visitors to our church. A friendly spirit and knowledge of our
ministries and the lay out of the building are all that is needed.
H.I.S. stands for Helping Isolated Saints. This
group of individuals minister to the shut-ins and the elderly on a
weekly to monthly basis. The H.I.S. group meets periodically for prayer,
evaluation and planning.
Hospitality is a New Testament distinctive.
Believers should be thankful for their homes and be willing to use them
for others. If you are willing to house missionaries or provide meals
for those who are traveling through town, please indicate this on the
Stewardship form.
Kitchen workers do the unseen but very
essential work for our potlucks, fellowships and funeral meals. Help is
needed in this area each time the kitchen is open for special events.
Meal Assistance is often needed for those who
face tragedies are recovering from surgery or who need help because of a
new baby in the home. A Supper meal is provided for those with these
types of need.
Set-up Crew has a weekly responsibility to get
the building ready for whatever ministry function is coming up next. Our
limited space means we have no “special use rooms’. Therefore, furniture
needs to be re-arranged each week to accommodate the next activity.
Ushers work with the Deacons to help seat
people, watch over the parking lot during service times and collect the
offering in our Sunday services.
Prayer Team is comprised of people who want to
partner with Pastor Dan and assist in the ministry of intercession on
behalf of special needs in our church family.
LLBC or Wingshadow Opportunities for service
are available periodically. If we know you are willing to help with
cleaning, hosting, cooking etc for these ministries, we or they can
contact you as the needs arise.
My Burden…simply means that God may have placed
a ministry upon your heart that we do not have listed. We’d like to
explore this with you to see if we should help and how we might be able
to help you fulfill what God has laid upon your heart.
